Harrachov<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

The mountain town of Harrachov has a lot to offer in winter and summer alike, making it an ideal place for both active and relaxing holidays.<\/p>\n

Cyclists, downhill and cross-country skiers, mushroom hunters, cold water swimmers, and simply all nature lovers will have a great time here on the border of the Jizera Mountains and the Krkono\u0161e National Park.<\/p>\n

Glass factory<\/strong><\/p>\n

Harrachov boasts a unique site of historical interest \u2013 one of the oldest operating glass factories in the world. The glassworks was founded in 1712 by Count Harrach, but the beginnings of glassmaking in the area date as far back as 1630. The factory offers tours where visitors can observe the traditional method of glassmaking. http:\/\/www.sklarnaharrachov.cz\/<\/a><\/p>\n

Downhill skiing<\/strong><\/p>\n

Harrachov, known in the past mainly for its ski jumping hills, offers excellent conditions to downhill skiing fans during the winter season. There are two chairlifts to the top of \u010certova hora (Devil\u2019s Mountain) and several smaller lifts suitable for beginners. Cross country skiing<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to the cross-country skiing tracks directly in Harrachov (https:\/\/www.harrachov-info.cz\/aktivity\/aktivity-zima\/bezecke-lyzovani<\/a>), the well-maintained tracks in nearby Jakuszyce in Poland (http:\/\/www.jakuszyce.info.pl\/pogoda.php<\/a>) have been gaining popularity in recent years. It\u2019s a great starting place for a trip back to Harrachov, either to the train station or to the Jizerka settlement via the Karlovsk\u00fd most (bridge), where, J\u00e1ra Cimrman was last spotted. https:\/\/jakuszyce.info.pl\/trasy-biegowe\/<\/a>, https:\/\/jakuszyce.info.pl\/trasy-rowerowe\/<\/a>
\nThere is a local ski bus link from Harrachov to Jakuszyce: https:\/\/www.harrachov-info.cz\/skibus-harrachov#group1<\/a><\/p>\n

The summer season in Harrachov has plenty to offer, too. From attractive mountain bike trails to tennis courts and golf courses (regular and miniature), as well as natural swimming spots. As the gateway to the western Krkono\u0161e, Harrachov is also an ideal starting point for longer trips to the mountain ridges to places such as Voseck\u00e1 bouda, the Elbe spring or Zlat\u00e9 n\u00e1vr\u0161\u00ed.<\/p>\n
